INGREDIENTS

Here’s the goodies you’ll need to make Veggie and Beef Bolognese.

  • 1 box of Jovial cassava spaghetti noodles pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee

  • 1/2 large white onion-diced

  • iodized sea salt

  • pepper

  • 1 large carrot- diced into small cubes

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp celery seed

  • 1/2 c broth- preferably homemade

  • 1/2 c Lectin Free Wife’s Marinara Sauce

  • 2 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 lb grass fed/grass finished minced beef

  • 1 c bok choy or kale-finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Here’s how to make Veggie and Beef Bolognese at home.

  1. Boil a large pot of water and follow directions on packaging for pasta

  2. Melt butter over medium/high heat in a large skillet

  3. Add onion, season with salt and pepper cook for 5 minutes

  4. Add carrot and cook for 10 minutes

  5. In a medium/large bowl, put the minced meat and use a potato masher or wooden spoon to break apart the meat. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, celery seeds

  6. Add the meat and spices into the skillet and brown meat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally while continuing to break the meat apart with wooden spoon

  7. Turn heat down to low, add broth, marinara sauce, and minced garlic, simmer for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally

  8. Add bok choy or kale and cook for 1 minute

  9. Turn off heat and serve meat sauce on cooked pasta noodles

NOTES:

*The marinara sauce can be substituted with extra stock/broth.
