Cabbage Stir Fry

Cabbage Stir Fry is an excellent choice if you're looking for a quick, easy, and low-cost meal. Cabbage is inexpensive and readily available year round. Cabbage goes well with almost any dish. This dish has a great herbal taste due to the fresh parsley. In only a few minutes, you'll have a nutritious meal!

Stir-fried cabbage is delicious and incredibly simple to prepare. Cabbage stir fry with white Onion, Garlic, pepper, parsley, and ghee is a fresh dish that can easily incorporate into any meal. In only a few minutes, you can have this tasty dinner on the table.

Cabbage has a long shelf life. It can last several weeks in the refrigerator, and budget-friendly prices make it a favorite dish in our house.

For my vegan friends, a simple swap for the ghee for some avocado oil and this dish will be perfect for you.

Cabbage Stir Fry

INGREDIENTS

Here’s the goodies you’ll need to make Cabbage Stir Fry.

·      Ghee or complaint oil

·      1/2 sizeable white onion-sliced thinly

·      1/2 green cabbage- sliced into thick strips 

·      Iodized sea salt

·      Pepper

·      1 Tsp minced garlic

·      1/2 bunch of parsley- chopped fine

INSTRUCTIONS

Here’s how to make Cabbage Stir Fry at home.

1.     In a large sauté pan with a lid, melt a dollop of ghee over medium/high heat

2.     Add the sliced onion, cook for 4-5 minutes, occasionally stirring with a wooden spoon or silicone-covered tongs but not frequently- the onions may blacken on edges a bit

3.     Add the cabbage. Using your tongs, mix the onions and cabbage. (be careful as cabbage may pop a bit)

4.     Sprinkle with salt and pepper 

5.     Cover with lid and cook for 3-4 minutes

6.     Uncover, turn off the heat. Add the minced garlic and parsley and give a good stir.

7.     Put the lid back on and leave it for 2 minutes with the heat off but on the same hot burner.

8.     Remove lid and stir before serving

Storage…

  • To Store. Cabbage stir fry may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.

  • To Reheat. Reheat cabbage stir fry gently on the stovetop over medium-low heat in a large pan or wok. To awaken the cabbage, add a little bit of rice vinegar.

  • To Freeze. Leftovers can store for up to 3 months in an airtight freezer-safe storage container. The texture of the cabbage may alter somewhat, but the tastes will remain delicious.
